Miss Venezuela, Stefania Fernandez, has won the world admire pageant Miss Universe 2009 on August, 23rd at night. She is 18 years old and makes history. Miss Universe 2009, the 58th Miss Universe annual pageant was taken place on August 23, 2009 in Nassau, Bahamas. Miss universe pageant was broadcast live on NBC and Telemundo.

The finalists were selected from among 84 contestants who appeared in cocktail dresses and then reappeared in swim suits. Miss Universe 2008 Dayana Mendoza from Venezuela gives her miss universe crown to winner of the miss universe 2009.The first runner-up was Miss Dominican Republic, Ada Aimee de la Cruz.

Superstar Flo Rida has performed his successful hits, “Right Round” and “Jump” as part of a two song medley during the Swimsuit Competition portion of the telecast. Billy Bush, co-anchor of Access Hollywood and Claudia Jordan of Celebrity Apprentice, has hosted the competition. The show has been also performed by reality star Heidi Pratt featuring her single “Body Language.” The presentation show, rehearsals, dress rehearsal and the grand final was taken place at Imperial Ballroom, in the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort.

The top 15 finalists who were vying for the Miss Universe crown were from Albania, Australia, Belgium, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, France, Iceland, Kosovo, Puerto Rico, Sweden, Switzerland, South Africa, the US and Venezuela. More photos of Miss Universe 2009 contestants.

The Miss Universe 2009 pageant will air live from the Atlantis Paradise in the Bahamas, on Sunday (August 23) at 9PM ET on NBC and Telemundo.

Contestants from 84 countries will be competing for the coveted title of the 58-year-old pageant. The winner will be crowned by reigning Miss Universe Dayana Mendoza from Venezuela.

Billy Bush, co-anchor of Access Hollywood and Claudia Jordan of Celebrity Apprentice, will host the competition. Superstar Flo Rida will perform his hugely successful hits, “Right Round” and “Jump” as part of a two song medley during the Swimsuit Competition portion of the telecast. Included in the show will also be a performance by reality star Heidi Pratt featuring her single “Body Language.”

When sharing a red carpet with a 16ft robot, Megan Fox knew she’d have to go the extra mile to get attention.

The actress guaranteed she made a maximum impact at the world premiere of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen in Tokyo with a striking figure-hugging purple gown.

Taking a style tip from seasoned red carpet veteran Liz Hurley, Megan showed off her fabulous legs in a slashed-to-the-thigh satin Donna Karan gown.

The 23-year-old beauty joined co-stars Shia LaBeouf, Isabel Lucas, Josh Duhamel, Ramon Rodriguez and Tyrese Gibson at the Toho cinema in Roppongi Hills for the first screening of the sequel to the 2007 blockbuster.

Hundred of Japanese fans queued for hours to see their idols, while only a lucky few managed to see the eagerly-anticipated film.

The new movie sees Shia and Megan reprises their roles as teenage couple Sam Witwicky and Mikaela Banes, who team up with their Autobot robot friends to stop the Decepticons from destroying the planet.

Speaking on the red carpet, Megan thanked director Michael Bay for giving her a role in the original film, which launched her Hollywood career.

She said: ‘It’s mind-blowing. I think it has opened a lot of doors for me career-wise, but there is a certain loss of anonymity, like leaving your house and having people take your picture all the time. That is a different kind of life.’

Also on at premiere was the Sam’s robot pal Bumblebee, who transforms into the student’s Chevrolet Camaro.

Megan Fox and Co-Stars: More “Transformers” in Tokyo

Continuing her promotional duties, Megan Fox was spotted at a press conference for “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” in Tokyo, Japan today (June 9).

The “Jennifer’s Body” babe looked scorching hot as she posed for the paparazzi in a sleeveless white dress with strappy white platform heels.

Also in the house for the big event was Megan’s costar Josh Duhamel who looked handsome in a sweater/shirt/tie combo, as well as Shia LaBeouf and Isabel Lucas.

“Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” hits theaters in the Land of the Rising Sun on June 19th.  We get to see it here in the States on June 24th.

Audrina Patridge Plays a PETA Angel

Audrina Patridge an angel? Hills fans might think it’s a bit of a stretch, but the reality TV star is donning her wings – and a sexy white bikini! – in a new campaign for PETA, revealed first on PEOPLE.

On a billboard set to be unveiled Wednesday on L.A.’s Beverly Boulevard, Patridge poses in the sexy angel outfit with her rescued dog, Speedy Gonzalez, next to the line, “Be an Angel for Animals-Always Adopt, Never Buy.”

When exactly did PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) become the go-to group for well-done soft-core porn? They even get into the kinky stuff with vegetables and animals.

It got us thinking, if Audrina’s such a good rescue-dog angel lady, why isn’t she swooping in there to save that poor pooch? No dog should have to endure such humiliation.

Even its face looks pretty fed up with this nonsense. But sometimes, you just have to sit and pose between Paris’ legs, help her sell some clothes, so maybe she’ll finally get that flat-screen TV for the doggie mansion.

In a statement released by PETA, Patridge says, “Each year, 6 to 8 million unwanted dogs and cats are turned in to shelters, and half are killed because there aren’t enough good homes. The solution is as easy as ABC – animal birth control. Always spay and neuter, and never buy from a pet store or a breeder.”

All-too-often we hear of celebrities who stray from their spouses, and the latest case of marital infidelity involves country singer LeAnn Rimes.

The 26-year-old star was recently involved in a shocking affair with Eddie Cibrian, her costar in the Lifetime made-for-TV-movie “Northern Lights.”

As of yesterday (March 17), LeAnn Rimes had posted a note on her Web site, saying, “This is a difficult time for me and my loved ones, but I appreciate all your continued support.  I would like to assure all of you that this is a place for you to hear things directly from me and as you all know, not everything in our lives is always black and white.”

LeAnn Rimes has been married to her former backup dancer Dean Sheremet for the past 7 years, though she was spotted holding hands and kissing Eddie Cibrian on a romantic dinner date at Mosun and Club M in Laguna Beach on March 7th.  On March 14th they met for a three-hour hookup at the Malibu Beach Inn.

As most of you already know, Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin’s daughter Bristol Palin has broken up with her former fiance and baby-daddy Levi Johnston.

Bristol Palin is now speaking out about the breakup after rumors started swirling this week. She says through a spokesperson:  “It is true that Levi and I are no longer together.

“However, I am absolutely committed to being the best mom to Tripp Easton.”

The pair called off the wedding and engagement “a while ago”, revealed Levi Johnston.

Bristol Palin also says: “As for the tabloid article, there are many inaccuracies contained within it.”

“Unfortunately, my family has seen many things in these tabloids as many try to ‘cash in’ on the Palin name. Sometimes that greed clouds good judgment and the truth.”

The news that Bristol Palin,  and her  fiance Levi Johnston – the father of her baby boy, Tripp – have broken off their engagement after Bristol Palin allegedly called Johnston’s family “white trash” will come as little surprise to Palin-watchers.

When the news that Bristol Palin was pregnant broke last summer, shortly after John McCain named her now famous mother as his presidential running-mate, there were persistent rumours that the couple might have been pressurised into staying together – and having the child – because of the Alaskan governor’s very public anti-abortion stance.

“Levi tries to visit Tripp every single day, but Bristol Palin makes it nearly impossible,” said Mercede. “She [Bristol] tells him he can’t take the baby to our house because she doesn’t want him around ‘white trash’!”

But while Johnston, 19, swiftly confirmed the report on Thursday, saying they broke off the engagement “a while ago”, he said that the ‘White-trash’ remarks were untrue.

However, these comments prompted a “devastated” Bristol Palin to issue a statement. She said: “Unfortunately my family has seen many people say and do many things to ‘cash in’ on the Palin name. Sometimes that greed clouds good judgement and the truth.”

Lindsay Lohan is apparently livid with Katie Holmes for bumping her off the cover of the April issue of Glamour.

The Mean Girl posed as Like A Virgin-era Madonna – complete with retro crimped hair, heavy makeup, pearls and a wedding dress – for the magazine.

But Lindsay Lohan’s shoot – which she reportedly believed would take pride of place on the front cover – was replaced by Katie Holmes, who gave a revealing interview with the magazine about family life.

“Her Marilyn Monroe shoot for New York Magazine seemed to make her relevant when she did it, she thought the same would happen this time.

“Only she wasn’t on the cover, Katie was, and she’s mad at her now.”

Only she wasn’t on the cover, Katie was, and she’s mad at her now.” Despite her gripe, magazine sources insist they never planned to put Lindsay on the cover. An insider said: “If that was Lindsay’s impression, it was a mistake. She was always going to be inside the magazine.”

Katie Holmes: ‘I Don’t Let Tabloid Stories Get me Down’

Katie Holmes has revealed how she deals with the tabloid speculation about her life – she just goes about her business as normal.

The former Dawson’s Creek actress – who is married to actor Tom Cruise – insists she is ignores rumors about her and her family, and just gets on with her life.

She tells Glamour magazine, “I feel really, really lucky. And you know what? I feel the best response [to all those tabloid stories] is just going about my life: enjoying life, making movies, being a good mom and a good wife, and focusing on that. Because if you’re doing well, what can they say?”

“I always wanted to do theater,” adds Katie – who recently made her Broadway debut in the Arthur Miller play All My Sons. “And that experience was better than I could have ever imagined. It was fascinating because your performance changes every night.

Television stars always fear being typecast in the role that made them famous. Now as Hollywood star Jennifer Aniston turns 40 on Wednesday, she is still trying to shake off the girl-next-door appeal that her role as Rachel Green in Friends cemented.

With her most recent hits Marley And Me and He is Just Not That Into You, Jennifer Aniston manages to distance herself a bit from the Rachel persona, but she will have to try harder.

She was actually asked to audition for the part of Monical Gellar, the cleanliness freak in the popular sitcom, but the part went instead to Courtney Cox. Jennifer Aniston then ended up playing Rachel, for which Cox was the original choice.

Even getting the role of Rachel was all luck for Jennifer  Aniston. She was at that time involved with a show called Muddling Through and got to audition for Friends only because the other serial was shelved.

Before Friends happened, Jennifer Aniston had to work as a waitress, telemarketer selling apartments, a messenger and a receptionist.

But Friends changed all that. She won several awards for her performance and for the past decade or so Jennifer Aniston has used the platform created by the hit show to hoist herself into movies.

The fame of the TV show bordered on insanity at times. Her haircut was widely copied and she along with her co-stars could actually ask a cool $1 million for each episode. It was also on the show that she met her future husband Brad Pitt when he made a guest appearance. The two tied the knot in July 2000.

The only real notable role she played near the Friends fame era was in small independent film The Good Girl (2002). There were hopes that she would capitalise on this fame, but it was not quite so. She did, however, have an achievement of sorts.

In 2003, Forbes released their global celebrity list and their shock number one was Jennifer Aniston. This was despite the fact that she had not made much money and was not even that famous. She was also a constant subject for tabloids and celebrity magazines.

But soon her life took a turn for the worse. Though she scored hits with the comedy Along Came Polly, her personal life was coming apart. There were rumours that her husband Brad Pitt was having an affair with his Mr. And Mrs. Smith co-star Angelina Jolie. Allegations also swirled that Aniston had put her career before having children.

The couple were divorced in 2005. Pitt now has a family with Jolie, but Jennifer Aniston has dated a string of men, including co-stars, like Vincent Cassel, Vince Vaughn and more recently musician John Mayer.

Jennifer Aniston had much later tried clarifying the ugly marriage. “I’ve never in my life said I don’t want to have children. I did and I do and I will!” she was quoted as saying.

She tried being dignified with Pitt when rumours about the Jolie affair were everywhere. She had said: “I choose to believe my husband. At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised by anything, but I would much rather choose to believe him.”

The actress is now on a comeback of sorts with Marley and Me and “He’s Just Not That Into You. And as she closes off another decade in her life, here’s hoping she will become the true actress.

Magazine has the adorable forty-year old sweetheart on the cover and they call it the perfect beginning to a new decade!   Predictably, it is a supposed big chunk of ice from her beau John Mayer.

Rihanna’s Injuries — “Horrific”

Law enforcement sources have now gotten specific with us… police took pictures of Rihanna’s injuries and they are “horrific.”

As we reported, the photos show major contusions on both sides of the singer’s face — there is serious swelling and bruising. Her lip is split and her nose bloody. We have now confirmed there are bite marks on one of her arms and on several fingers.

And we now know this… Rihanna claims Brown struck her with his fists and that’s what did the damage. There was no object used in the alleged attack.

Rihanna refused treatment at the scene, but before she left cops took photos. We’re told the photos alone are “devastating proof of abuse.”

And we’ve learned it was not Rihanna who called 911. Someone in the area heard her screams and called.

Rihanna’s injuries “like an MMA fighter”

Disturbing details continue to surface following R&B star Chris Brown’s alleged assault on songstress girlfriend Rihanna.

According to TMZ.com, unnamed law enforcement sources said Rihanna’s contusions “look like an MMA [Mixed Martial Arts] fighter or something … [It] looked like she was growing devil’s horns.”

The folks at TMZ.com are calling the injuries “horrific.”

The 20-year-old performer was treated at a “major medical facility,” a police source told LATIMES.com

Chris Brown, a 2009 Grammy-nominated singer, has been booked on a felony criminal threats charge. The Los Angeles D.A. could decide later to charge Chris Brown with domestic violence.

According to various reports, Chris Brown stopped his rented Lamborghini on a quite street in Hollywood’s Hancock Park. A police report said that several people saw or heard a loud, violent confrontation. At around 12:30 a.m. police responded to a 911 call made from the location and found a female victim with bruises and a scratch to her face.

chris Brown had fled the scene before police officers arrived but turned himself in to detectives for questioning hours before he was to perform at the Grammys.

Meanwhile, Robyn Rihanna Fenty, is providing “ongoing” cooperation with detectives, unidentified police sources told Los Angeles Times.

And today, the makers of Doublemint gum released this statement:

“Wrigley is concerned by the serious allegations made against Chris Brown. We believe Mr. Brown should be afforded the same due process as any citizen. However, we have made the decision to suspend the current advertising featuring Brown and any related marketing communications until the matter is resolved,” the William Wrigley Jr. Co. said in a statement.

Teen Idol Miley Cyrus traded her Porsche for a…black Toyota Prius. According to Miley cyrus, she got rid of the Porsche because “I didn’t like it ’cause it was bad for the environment, and it was too big”. I always knew the Prius was a girls car.

Her dad then bought her a black Prius to make up for the loss. And environment conscious Miley Cyrus loves it! She says she likes the Prius better because it’s “good for the environment, and it’s adorable!” Yay! Are you kidding me? And Miley Cyrus is on a roll with her black Prius.

She’s going to pimp that ride no end. First on the list? Hello Kitty floor mats (oh God!). Oh well, to each their own, let’s give it up for Miley Cyrus’s black prius.

I have to admit that I’m not the world’s biggest Miley Cyrus fan. I thought Hanna Montana was somewhere just north of Billings.

About as close as I get is having once seen Billy Ray Cyrus perform at the Plant City Strawberry Festival. He seemed like a good guy to me.

I am 32-or-so-years too old to be affected by Miley Mania, but for those who care, Miley’s getting new wheels. Those willing to plunk down the $29.95 for a membership in the Mileyworld fan club were the first to know.

Miley Cyrus has made the move from her black hand-me-down Porsche Cayenne (formerly Mom’s) to a snazzy black Toyota Prius purchased for her by Billy Ray. It may just be a coincidence that Miley Cyrus has a new song coming out with a strong anti-global warming theme. Not cool to roll in a Porsche Cayenne to a concert singing green anthems, even if Porsche is a pretty darn green car company, it’s still an SUV.

I am not really a fan of the Toyota Prius, but there is one eco-friendly vehicle that would be an exotic car driving experience: the Aptera. Not the yogurt, that’s Aptiva.

I would guess the Toyota Prius gets about 40 MPG, the Aptera will be a 300 MPG car and looks like it might actually be fun to drive down to the market to get some organic vegetables and tofu.
